Issue Description
We received an emergency call from our customer regarding a blockage in the main sewer line affecting an entire commercial apartment unit.
Actions Taken
- Immediate Response:
- We scheduled an appointment with the customer for the same day.
- Initial Inspection:
- Upon arrival, we found that none of the fixtures in the unit were draining sewage water.
- In the garage area, sewage water was observed coming out from the cleanout.
- Temporary Relief:
- We removed the cleanout cap and used a vacuum machine to extract all the sewage water.
- Line Assessment:
- After removing the water, we attempted to snake the line multiple times.
- We discovered that the line was very old and a 6-foot section needed to be replaced.
- Customer Approval:
- We contacted the customer to get approval for replacing the damaged section with a new one.
- After receiving approval, we immediately proceeded with the replacement.
- Project Execution:
- The 6-foot section of the sewer line was replaced.
- We checked all the systems and plumbing fixtures inside the unit to ensure they were functioning properly.
- Post-Installation Testing:
- The new section was tested thoroughly to confirm there were no leaks.
- Cleanup:
- We cleaned the entire project area to ensure it was left in pristine condition.
Result
