Main water Line Installation-2

Issue Description

We received a call from a client who reported an unusually high water bill.

Actions Taken

  1. Initial Appointment:
    • We scheduled an appointment with the homeowner on the same day to investigate the issue.
  2. Inspection of Interior Plumbing:
    • Upon arrival, we inspected all plumbing fixtures inside the house to ensure there were no internal leaks.
    • Our inspection confirmed that there were no leaks within the house.
  3. External Water Line Assessment:
    • We shut off the main water valve feeding the house.
    • We checked the water meter and observed that it was still running, indicating a leak between the meter and the house.
  4. Diagnosis and Recommendation:
    • The problem was identified as being in the section of the water line between the meter and the house.
    • The homeowner agreed to replace the entire line, as the existing galvanized pipe was very old, had numerous holes, and was heavily corroded.
  5. Project Execution:
    • We began the project on the same day, replacing the old galvanized pipe with a new copper pipe.
    • After installing the new pipe, we conducted thorough testing to ensure there were no leaks.
  6. Cleanup and Customer Satisfaction:
    • After completing the project, we cleaned the work area thoroughly.
    • The customer was very pleased with the prompt service, the new copper pipe, and the improved water quality.

Result

The replacement of the old galvanized water line with a new copper pipe was successfully completed on the same day. The new water line was tested and confirmed to be leak-free. The customer expressed satisfaction with the efficient service and the resulting clean water supply.
