Issue Description

We received an emergency call from our client regarding a leak in the wall of a commercial building.

Actions Taken

  1. Immediate Response:
    • We scheduled an appointment with the customer for the same day.
  2. Initial Inspection:
    • Upon arrival, we identified a water leak in the bathroom area next to the bathtub.
    • We contacted the building manager for access to open the drywall and locate the source of the leak.
  3. Leak Identification:
    • Upon opening the drywall, we discovered a 2-inch cast-iron drain pipe, running from the second floor to the first floor and connecting to the main sewer line in the garage area, with a 12-foot crack.
  4. Project Execution:
    • We immediately commenced the project, removing the damaged pipe.
    • A new 2-inch cast-iron pipe was installed and secured with special straps to ensure stability.
  5. Post-Installation Testing:
    • The new pipe was tested to ensure there were no leaks.
  6. Cleanup:
    • We thoroughly cleaned the work area upon completion of the project.
