Residential House PEX.re-piping

Issue Description

We received a call from a client regarding a house remodel, specifically addressing issues with rusted galvanized pipes causing low water pressure.

Actions Taken

  1. Initial Assessment:
    • Upon assessment, we identified that the existing galvanized pipes were severely rusted, leading to reduced water pressure.
    • We recommended a full re-pipe of the house using high-quality PEX piping to ensure consistent and reliable water pressure.
  2. Re-Piping Execution:
    • We replaced all the old, rusted galvanized pipes with new PEX piping.
    • The new pipes were secured with specialist straps and safety plates to ensure proper installation and safety within the walls.
  3. Post-Installation Testing:
    • After completing the re-piping, we ran water through the new system to test its functionality.
    • We conducted a thorough check to confirm that there were no leaks in the newly installed piping system.

Result

The re-piping of the house was successfully completed using PEX piping, which resolved the issues of low water pressure. The new system was tested to ensure it was leak-free and functioning properly. The client was satisfied with the improved water pressure and the quality of the installation.
